Project: Woodlands Road, Camberley
Date: March/April 2016
Our brief for this garden landscaping project was to remove all of the hard landscaping and to replace it with a new block-paved driveway and paths to the front of the house, and a new sandstone patio and paths in the back garden. The existing paving had been in place for around 40 years and consisted of concrete slabs in a very simple, angular layout. Our aim was to soften all the corners and edges by using curves and sweeping lines, which would also maximise the space available, while increasing access to the garage, greenhouse and refuse bins.
The result is a lighter, more visually appealing design, using Tegula Drivesett blocks in Traditional and Indian sandstone. Curves have been introduced to mirror the existing design of the garden and to soften the corners of the paths, meaning the flow around the house has been greatly improved. The patio has also been made larger to allow more space for seating.
